Still high from all the love at the Flower Girl LA flower crown workshop last Saturday! When I set out to start LUX / EROS's mission of creating a warm and inviting space in my home to connect with and foster a creative community, this is exactly what I envisioned. It's very "if you build it they will come"! There is just something so cool about having a bunch of women (and sometimes men) who don't necessarily know each other, get together and create.
The flower crown workshop was a great example of this. Kelsey Harper, the hostess, is like a pretty and sweet flower goddess who you just want to be around all the time! The Lodge was filled with the sweet smell of Roses, mint and Lavender. The ladies, though focused and determined to create the best flower crowns ever, were all laughing and really enjoying themselves. Everyone walked away with a beautiful crown of fresh flowers and the know how to create one again!
In the end I felt great because I had opened my home to and met 13 amazing women and I hope they left happy and fulfilled... Not to mention, I had the help of Homejoy.com for the clean up... and Thank goodness because these workshops can get so messy. Homejoy is new online platform that connects you with certified (and very sweet!) cleaning professionals - it's addition to my life is nothing short of a godsend! Having a blog, a lifestyle brand, fashion consulting gigs and organizing and hosting creative events is a lot to manage all on my own so working with them makes hosting the creative events at my home so much easier.
This post was sponsored by Homejoy, but as always, my words and opinion are my own.
