LUX / DECOR >> The Lodge Kitchen, Before & After

Desanka Fasiska

Welcome to my beloved kitchen! My dream kitchen -  My whole adult life I had these tiny galley kitchens which aren't very inspiring to cook in.  Now all I do it cook and entertain and it's THE BEST.

The above image is from the For Love And Lemons campaign that my friend Olivia Malone shot. Thought you might like to see the kitchen at it's best... with half naked models waiting idly around my kitchen (ostensibly waiting for there tea to brew?) I added a few more selects from this shoot (just to spice up this ol' before and after business!)

BEFORE

GAH-ROSS! The kitchen was so tiny and outdated It was almost totally not functional! We took out the wall and opened it up. We moved the fridge over to the right (which required us to open space into the room next to the kitchen. I loved the slated shelving but it was so dark in there so I had to forgot them for some windows. Obviously the tile and cabinets  had to go too and new (not from 1963) appliances had to be purchased too!

My kitchen doodles and the fantasy wallpaper I got priced out of (sigh)

TADA!!! This was taken the day they completed it. It was the hardest room for me to design as I had never done a kitchen before. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
