1. THE OUTDOOR SECTIONAL
I'm taking a little trip back on memory lane and revisiting all my fun design hacks I've done over the last year at The Lodge. Thought I'd share them for this 4 Favorites round up. Let's start with my most recent one, the outdoor sectional I made using free shipping pallets and Ikea mattresses. To keep them clean I just covered them in cotton fabric that is easily removed for washing and I Scotch Guareded everything! The best thing about this hack is the total coast was just $350!
2. CERAMIC TOTEM POLES
Been fascinated with tiki and totem poles since I was a kid. I have a dream of having tons of sculpture featured in my garden at the Lodge. I thought I'd start it off with some of my own and created these totems made of ceramic cylinders... which inspired the tumblers I am now making that are for sale in the shop!
3. ROOST TIMO TEAK ROOM DIVIDER CUM CLOSET DOORS
When I was designing my house I knew I wanted interesting closet doors in my bedroom. I went on a search high and low for an inexpensive option that would look custom ( because custom was clearly out of my budget!) I found this amazing piece at H.D. Buttercup in Culver City. Guess what? Everyone thinks they were custom!
4. TILE TOP TARGET TABLE
I originally intended for this tile mural to go above my stove (this is only half of it) but I got a little bit chicken that it would get ruined there so I decided to use it on a table top. I searched for a table that was it's actual size (38" x 38") but when I saw this table for only $100 at Target I knew it was perfect. It had a brown / bronze base so I just spray painted it gold (love me some gold spray paint!)
